Dark Horses 1

The works ‘Dark Horses’ are an ongoing series which address the power of the underdog and how the fixation on an ideal often makes that a reality.

To make this work/intervention/sculpture whatever descriptive suits it best, I had to apply for planning consent as the cupboard itself is Grade II Listed. A former shoe rack from a junior school built in 1903.

The document submitted to the council includes architects plans and drawings of the site in which the cabinet is located. Their value running into the thousands. The intervention itself is made within the cabinet in invisible thread and is virtually invisible to the naked eye invisible thread.

I was looking at forms of protest against bureaucracy and ludicrousness of these systems we are governed by.
